Iron Horse Mud Ranch
Iron Horse Mud Ranch is a 520-acre event park in Taylor County near Perry in north-central Florida, occupying swamp-terrain on the upper Gulf Coastal Plain north of the Suwannee River country: a landscape of flatwoods, prairie, and the blackwater creek systems that make north Florida terrain consistently soft and mud-prone in ways that the sandhill regions to the east are not. The park draws from the Tallahassee, Gainesville, and south Georgia market, serving a riding audience that wants genuine depth-mud terrain rather than the shallow wet spots of drier Florida systems. Trail features include 20 miles of muddy ATV trail for everyday traversal, deep ponds of calibrated depth for submersion runs, a Mega Truck Obstacle Course for full-size competition vehicles, a 4x4 freestyle arena, and a Tiki hut beach area on an on-site lake. ATVs, UTVs, 4x4 Jeeps and trucks, and buggies are all permitted; motorcycles and dirt bikes are not, the soft-terrain character makes the mud-vehicle mix more functional than a mixed bike-and-four-wheel system. Full weekend passes run $80/person for Thursday or Friday entry and include primitive camping for the duration. Cash only at the gate.
